aquarius · leo · scorpio · taurus · virgo

Meg Moon Beam introduces the week's significant astrological transits, focusing on the Sun conjunct the South Node in Leo and the current eclipse portal. She provides a personal update on being on the road in Alberta and promotes her upcoming readings and webinars. The core discussion centers on the ego death associated with releasing the shadow aspects of Leo, particularly for those with placements in the critical degrees or fixed signs.

• The creator, Meg Moon Beam, is filming from Alberta, Canada, where she is exploring the wilderness with family visitors from Belgium.
• The primary astrological focus is the Sun conjunct the South Node in Leo, which occurs exactly on Saturday, August 22nd, at 29 degrees.
• The South Node in Leo invites the release of the "ego" and shadow aspects of Leo, such as excess confidence or performance, rather than stopping one's ability to shine.
• The North Node is in 29 degrees of Aquarius, representing the forward-moving purpose of innovation, technology, and freedom.
• Individuals with Leo, fixed sign (Taurus, Scorpio, Aquarius), or early Virgo placements (0-5 degrees) may feel particularly tired or experience a lack of vitality during this transit.
• The creator emphasizes that the South Node represents past mastery ("we've bought the t-shirt") and that this transit is about letting go of what no longer serves.

Sun Conjunct South Node in Leo: Ego Death and Political Implications

leo

The creator explains the astrological significance of the Sun conjunct the South Node in Leo during the eclipse portal between August 12 and August 28, framing it as a period of "ego death" and identity release. While emphasizing that this is about releasing overconfidence and controlling behaviors rather than spiritual bypassing, the creator connects this personal transformation to the "Hero's Journey" archetypes. The discussion then shifts to the collective level, highlighting how this exact conjunction on August 22 impacts specific political figures by aligning with their natal chart placements.

• The Sun conjunct South Node in Leo signifies an "ego death," encouraging individuals to release overcontrolling, overconfident, or prideful behaviors rather than claiming to have no ego at all.
• This event occurs within an eclipse portal (between the August 12 solar eclipse and August 28 lunar eclipse), amplifying karmic letting go and identity shifts for all signs, especially fixed signs.
• The creator frames ego death as a humbling part of the "Hero's Journey," involving the death of old identities to step into new ones, often triggered by realizing held beliefs are no longer aligned with truth.
• On the collective level, the exact conjunction on August 22 at 29 degrees of Leo aligns with Donald Trump's rising sign and Mars, as well as JD Vance's rising sign.
• The degree 29° Leo is associated with the fixed star Regulus, which is linked to royalty, power, and fame, but also to significant downfalls or falls from grace.
• The creator notes that this alignment may cause shifts in public opinion regarding Trump and Vance, potentially involving war-related conflicts due to the conjunction with Trump's Mars.
• A brief mention is made of the death of actress Hayden Panettiere, which the creator links to the South Node's association with endings and death, suggesting further public deaths or significant events may occur.

• The Moon in Scorpio squares the Sun/South Node in Leo, creating intense, dramatic emotional energy and highlighting triggers for the viewer.
